Brad Pitts
CEO & Co-Founder
Starting from the ground up, Brad Pitts had a successful, 14-year career at a Fortune 100 company. At the height of his career, he managed $65M in revenue as Sales Center Territory Supervisor.
Pitts co-founded his 2nd healthcare business, Synergy Laboratories, in 2014 after meeting co-founder Brandon Biles. They shared a Christian-grounded belief that they were called to create a business to foster a culture of servant leadership with Christian values. Every employee could have the opportunity to reflect the Company’s guiding principles in their service outside employment.
His wife and son live in Mobile, Alabama, and are active in their church and participate in several community and charitable activities. Brad also sits on the advisory board for the Buy a Tree Change a Life non-profit organization.
Brandon W. Biles
Chief Operating Officer & Co-Founder
Synergy Laboratories co-founder, Brandon Biles, enjoyed a nearly 20-year career in the healthcare sector, primarily in pharmaceutical sales. He held several senior sales positions at Takeda Pharmaceuticals, helping launch several highly successful medications. He shares with Brad Pitts a deep dedication to operating Synergy Labs with Christian principles as their guiding values.
His wife and three children live in Mobile, Alabama, and are ardent supports of several charitable organizations alongside their faithful work in their local church. Brandon earned his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Auburn University.
Thomas B. Norris
Vice President, Sales
Thomas Norris is a veteran leader in the medical sales field, having worked for Cardinal Health and its subsequent spin-off of CareFusion, as well as the orthopedic equipment firm Smith & Nephew, where he was focused on helping provide care in acute settings such as operating rooms, catheterization labs, labor & delivery rooms and intensive care settings.
Now, with Synergy Laboratories, he is driving a sales culture that utilizes a team approach to build relationships with the Lab’s customers across the Southeast by providing custom-fit solutions for every client, ensuring that Synergy Laboratories becomes a trusted partner known for providing exceptional service and state-of-the-art diagnostic testing that empowers, facilities, physicians, and their patients.
Brandon Hernandez
IT Director
Brandon Hernandez has a diverse background in mobile, desktop, and web platform development across several industries, ranging from eCommerce and asset tracking solutions for independent startups to international data integrations and analytics interpretations with Fortune 500 corporations. Bringing these lessons of eCommerce, Big Data, Cloud Computing, and modern user design to bear in the healthcare space helping Synergy Laboratories remain on the cutting edge forefront of health technologies and provide a fast, state-of-the-art diagnostic result to their clients.
Lynn McWhorter
Lab Director
Lynn joined the Synergy family shortly after its inception in 2015, bringing 34 years of hospital laboratory experience. She served in several leadership roles over the years and has experience in Hematology, Chemistry, Blood Bank, and neonatal transfusions. She is a graduate of William Carey University with a major in Biology and a minor in Chemistry.
Lynn and her husband are long time residents of Mobile. They are blessed to have 2 adult children, their spouses, and one perfect new granddaughter living in Mobile.
Dr. Kimberley V. Patterson
Pathologist
Dr. Kimberley V. Patterson is a graduate of Auburn University in Auburn, AL, graduated Medical School at the University of South Alabama in Mobile, AL, and completed a residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and fellowship in Surgical Pathology at the University of South Alabama.
Dr. Patterson has been a practicing pathologist since 1995. She is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.
Dr. Glenn A. Nelson
Pathologist
Dr. Glenn A. Nelson is a graduate of Auburn University in Auburn, AL, and graduated Medical School at the University of South Alabama in Mobile, AL. He completed a residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the University of South Alabama and a fellowship in Surgical Pathology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. Dr. Nelson joined the staff of Pathology Laboratory Associates in 2017.
Dr. Nelson has been a practicing pathologist since 1986. He is board-certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.
Amelia Crosswhite
Vice President, Operations
Amelia currently serves as our Vice President of Operations. She oversees the day-to-day operations of Synergy Laboratories. She focuses on implementation, training, compliance, processes, and ongoing education with our employees.
Amelia has over 20 years of customer service, sales, management, and business operations experience. She graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business and a minor in Marketing. She and her husband reside in Birmingham, AL, with their two children.
